In just three years, Natural Hair Week has grown from 700+ attendees to over 5,000 from more than 5 UK cities. It’s been called the “Best and most EMPOWERING natural hair event.” But we just think it‘s different. And that difference works for our attendees.
I got the opportunity to see so many hair icons and inspirational people. The natural hair society has grown into something people. It's not just a society we are family.
We would like to say a big thank you for putting on a truly phenomenal event. We had a blast!
You are amazing. Keep on, keeping on.
This is the first time that I have been to a natural hair show and I can't stop chatting about it. I really enjoyed listening to the talks, going around the stores...seeing many different natural hairstyles in the building. See you when you are next back in London.
I really enjoyed it. It was great to see so many natural sisters along with vendors who had products specific to our needs.
Besides shopping we attended a few workshops. The first one we went to was about hair styling, the speaker was very knowledgeable about natural hair and so were the other attendees!
I learnt so many things from the London natural hair week event.
This year was absolutely amazing; there were natural hair experts and stylists with years of experience in natural hair giving talks, doing demos, and even sitting on a panel to answer questions from both the event's host and the audience. There were expos by tons of natural hair companies, like Cantu (of course), whose stylists did demos throughout the day on both models and guests; Shea Moisture, and ORS.
I had fun on Saturday and overall it was a good experience. It was great to see everyone there and how many mainstream brands now carry products for natural hair
I was thrilled with the 'Natural Hair Week' event, and bursting with pride by the time I left. I had no idea that there so many women in Birmingham with natural hair! I felt a real sense of community while I was there and felt glad that there was finally an event that celebrated afro hair - Yes! Natural hair week you will be seeing me again next year.
I was not surprised to see the venue packed with ladies eagerly looking at all the natural hair exhibitors from Cantu to ORS, checking out the hair demonstrations and taking in the seminars and workshops.
The market place offered a wealth of stands including temporary salons to get your curls coiffed and beauty stands where you could massage and moisturise yourself with the array of butters and puddings on offer.
Lovers of African inspired prints were in their element with a broad selection of fashion pieces and of course there was the product swap table.
Now if the stalls and speakers weren't good enough, the attendees were great, everyone was so friendly and I even got to talking to a few business owners and natural hair bloggers.
I would think twice about designing stuff for which there was no need and which didn't endure.
Natural Hair Week has just the antidote, offering the most far reaching shows.
